Morning is about protection and hydration. Skin has spent the night recovering, and the goal now is to defend it against everything the day throws at it: UV, pollution, and the friction of daily life.
Cleanse
Start with a gentle cleanser to clear overnight sebum and any residue left over from the night before. A non-foaming or low-foam formula, like The Cleansing Emulsion, clears impurities without stripping the skin barrier it's meant to protect. For oilier skin, a lighter, gel-leaning texture will control shine more effectively through the morning.
Add a Serum
After cleansing, apply a serum. An antioxidant serum helps skin counter the environmental stressors it picks up during the day, pollution, grime, everyday friction, though it's not a substitute for SPF against UV itself.
The Serum is built around GSM10®, a patent-pending antioxidant that Beau Domaine's own testing has found more effective against oxidative stress than vitamin C. Pat it in and let it fully absorb before moving on.
Moisturize and Protect
The moisturizer can stay light here: a lotion or fluid texture that leaves a non-greasy finish and sits comfortably under SPF. Finish with a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, SPF 50 blocks about 98% of UVB rays versus roughly 97% for SPF 30.
Reapplication matters just as much as the number on the bottle: sunscreen holds for about two hours, so a formula applied at 7 a.m. offers little protection by mid-morning without a second pass, and needs reapplying every couple of hours during extended time outdoors.
